Randall Wall flipped his first house with an older friend “Larry” at age 15. Not knowing any better and just like a kid he blew the money to buy his first car a 1973 Ford LTD instead of investing it.
Leaving the military after 5 years in 1988 & buying Robert Allen’s “How I turned $1000 into $10,000,000 in real estate for .50 at a garage sale he purchased his first rental property in Salt Lake City paying it off in about 4 years.
After close to 1,000 remodels and flips he still looks back to the first two flips he did at the same time in Utah where on one he did everything wrong except using his UPS truck to haul materials in and lost $50,000 in hard-earned money. Fortunately for him, instead of making it an evil anecdote in the journals of life, he put what he learned on that one to work on the second one and profited $138,000 investing it this time.
Since those early days, Randall has had an interesting path in real estate-related activities. Moving to eastern Oregon for 8 years he built the largest construction company in 100 miles working on not just his own projects but those of government and private individuals through creative marketing. The same drive and curiosity led him to focus on investing in Castles in Europe, flipping homes in the US, and gold mines 🙁 farming and developing property in Asia.
Returning to Utah in the Fall of 2004 as his children attended the University of Utah Randall used those skills he learned previously to make a living in real estate as both an investor doing fix and flips, rentals, lease options, hundreds of seller-financed properties, buying and selling paper, and as a top agent closing up to 82 transactions a year in multiple states.
Fortunately for Randall, he learned the skills to recover financially after 3 divorces and starting over multiple times in business and his best financial advice to anyone is “avoid divorce at all reasonable costs!”. He is ecstatically married to his lovely wife of seven years “Usha” and at 60 is expecting their first child together in May.
Serving for 13 years as president of the largest investor association in Utah, 3 years on the board of the Utah Association of Realtors, and being published close to 30 times in three languages in real estate and business Randall has been asked to train in Germany & Qatar, as well as coast to coast speaking to groups of up to 3,000 people at a time.
Currently, Randall still actively invests and is one of the owners of Equity Real Estate who closes one in every five transactions in Utah and is in at least 20 other states being the 30th largest private brokerage in the country. Today Randall’s favorite focus & success is the charity (www.eternalhopeinternational.com) his MD wife started where they educate more than 700 slum and poor indigenous children in Nepal in not only the three “R’s” but in small business and life skills as well. They hope to move to Nepal permanently in the Near future to change the lives of children and families there.
