In addition to educating others how to invest in real estate (MJA REAL Consulting), Matt also owns and operates MJA REAL Property Management and MJA REAL Estate and has been a mortgage lending professional for over 20 years.
Matt served as President of the Utah Valley Real Estate Investors Association (UVREIA) for 10 years, a board member of the Salt Lake Real Estate Investors Association (SLREIA) for 12 years, and has been a member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) for 8 years and the Utah Association of Mortgage Professionals (UAMP) for 7 years.
Ben began his real estate career flipping homes in 2002. He was deployed with the Utah National Guard in 2006, and after returning home Ben returned to real estate with a few small development projects until the market crashed in 2007. Throughout the recession he worked on distressed asset projects, while also attending Brigham Young University (BYU) Law School from 2010-2012. In 2013, Ben opened his own law firm specializing in real estate law and continued to flip houses, develop land into commercial and residential properties, structure real estate investments, and manage self-storage facilities.
Ben is a principal of DL Asset Management and Build Vacations. Ben’s primary areas of focus are land acquisition, development, and legal affairs. Ben continues to manage his own real estate investments. As an attorney, Ben handles real estate development and investments.
Leslie Peterson has cultivated a deep knowledge of the title and escrow industry through 22 years of hands-on experience. After 8 years of working at various title companies, she opened Charger Title Insurance Agency, Inc. 2006 and is the sole owner. She works with a wide variety of clients, from hard money lenders, to investors, to first time home buyers and basic refinances. Leslie is known for her attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile for the client.
When not hard at work on her client’s files she’s busy investing in her own rental portfolio. She started investing in real estate in 2001 and has 14 Doors. She has done seller carry transactions, hard money loans, and traditional financing. Her personal investing experience just adds to her vast knowledge in the title industry.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, riding at the sand dunes and sitting by a campfire. No matter which hat she’s wearing, her motto is simple – life is about the little things.

Jolene Aubel’s public/media relations career spans 17 years in Olympic sports including seven years with the U.S. Ski Team / U.S. Ski Association and includes over 282 national and international events as well as six Olympic Games.
She founded Mountain Marketing and Communications, Inc. in 1992 and oversaw all sales and marketing activities of the company.

Since 2002, she has worked as a full-time real estate investor and specializes in bank short sale negotiations. Jolene has a degree in Marketing from Bowling Green University.
Samantha Simon has owned and operated two successful businesses and is what you would call a serial entrepreneur.
Her Samak Smoke House, an award winning operation, grew from $20,000 in annual sales to $200,000 before being sold. She was known for her customer service and was voted for having the best beef jerky in the state.
Samantha and her partner Jolene Aubel have a fast-growing real estate solutions company helping homeowners in trouble with foreclosure. Samantha oversees the rehab division of that company and is passionate about adding value to properties.
In addition to investing and teaching about real estate investing, Samantha enjoys teaching an Entrepreneur Forum every fall at Salt Lake Community College and has done this for the past eight years. Samantha has a degree in Spanish from the University of Utah.
